Unusual cloud formations were present the last few days in the Puget Sound Region. The very unusual noctilucent clouds were visible at dawn and sunset. They form above the ozone layer in the upper atmosphere at 250,000 to 280,000 feet and are composed of ice crystals that form around specks of dust from incoming meteors.
