The Golden Circle is a 300 km circle in Southwestern Iceland and is one of the most popular tourist areas in Iceland. Main attractions include: Þingvellir National Park, Stokkur geyser, Kerið volcanic crater lake, and Gulfoss (a multilevel waterfall on the Hvítá (White) river which is fed by Iceland´s second biggest glacier, the Langjökull. Others include the greenhouses of Friðheimar and Hellisheiði, a large geothermal power station.
